CASE Consultants were appointed by South Devon Healthcare Foundation Trust to act as Structural engineering consultants on the project.

The completed works provide a new theatre for planned orthopaedic operations and for emergency (trauma) surgery, saving patients the long transfer between the ward and the old fracture theatre.

The detailed design included the provision of a new extension at Level 6 and an extensive plant room over at Level 7.
