CASE Consultants assisted in preparing a conceptual design with Grainge Architects for the redevelopment of Torquay Police Station and custody centre.

Six consortia entered a competition organised by Devon & Cornwall Police Authority and the winning team, which included CASE Consultants, were chosen to further their design to the point that Tenders for the construction of the project could be obtained.

The detailed design included partial demolition of the existing concrete frame, concrete repairs, new foundations, reinforced concrete ground beams, slabs, walls, roofs, structural steelwork and masonry.

The design team carried out site supervision during the construction phase, undertaking on-site design elaborations, where necessary.
